Hey everybody!! My names Jamie and I am new here. I am trying to find a good group of supporters for me losing weight. A little backround about my weight struggles is that I was never one of those people that always struggled with my weight, this is fairly recent. All my life I was a cheerleader, very athletic, and very fit. I have been 100-110 pounds all of my life. When I graduated highschool, I didnt cheerlead anymore and started gaining weight. I got a new boyfriend and became "comfortable" as some people put it and just gained weight. I have been trying for a year to get back to what I was in high school with no avail. I am just looking for support because nobody really seems to understand what I am going through. I haven't been happy for awhile about the way I look and have been trying super hard to make this work. I've tried teas, detoxes, diets and pills and nothing seems to work. I just really want to get to a good weight before the start of this summer coming up (09) and be happy again!! Hopefully I will meet some great people/friends to help me with my weight journey. You've come to the right place for support. We're all with you, girl.
Your best bet is to make changes that will last you a lifetime. It can be easy to lose weight with a "fast fix", but you want a lifestyle that will sustain the loss.

Thanks so much!! I mean, I have support at home but the support I have isn't consistant and I tend to get "lazy" if I dont have somebody pushing me and encouraging me!!

Look around! We have lots of folks making positive lifestyle changes here, on all kinds of plans. Settle into one area, or many, and get yourself started! We have forums for age ranges, amount to lose, eating plan, challenges...so explore!
