Default Hello Everyone

I too am new to the forum. I was poking around on the internet looking for SOMETHING to help me take the 50 lbs back off that I lost over 7 months and regained in the following 9 months. I used WW then and it worked. For some reason I cant get back there. Anyhow, I came across this website during my research and thought it would be nice to have some friends that really understand where I am and how hard it is to actually lose weight!
I look forward to chatting with you all soon.

Welcome, Kimber, and welcome to you, too, Huma!

You'll meet many supportive people here.

Huma, most of us would suggest a life-style change as opposed to a specific "diet". Making even small changes in your habits (ie: journaling your foods so that you know what you're consuming, changing some of your snacking habits, working in a 20 minute walk a day, etc) can produce good, gradual changes in your weight. And the habits will be ones that will last you a life-time.

Hi Kimber and Huma! I definitely agree that most people who want to KEEP the weight off do not diet per se, but rather change their portions, or count calories and also add in some sort of exercise to their daily routine. I have tried a few of the popular diets with much success but as soon as I deviated from the formula it all piled back on. So you have to find what works for you. Right now I cut out drinks with calories, I watch my portions and try to eat as many veggies as possible each day and drink tons of water. I exercise 4-6 days a week depending on what is going on and I plan to try to get up to 6 and stay there. There are a lot of ideas tried and tested on this site so just start looking around, add in your own research and go for it!
