Hi all
I am completely new to both online support communities and weight loss. I just moved to a new city in order to attend graduate school. I was used to walking 2 or more miles per day in Boston, but find that what with classes, work, and commuting I'm not getting as much exercise. Before I realized it, on top of the weight I gained in college, I'd put on ten extra pounds. I'm not looking to go back to my pre-college weight at all, but via cutting back on calories and starting to walk, it would be nice to lose 15-20 lbs. I could use some support though as I'm new to weight loss. I'll give as good as I get!
Good for you for getting the weight off now. It's easy to leave it until "later" when we've more time. There never is more time. Establish new habits now.
Let us know if you need any help around the forum!
Thanks for the warm welcome, Ellis! I'll be sure to speak up if I have any questions. So far everything is nice and straightforward. Congratulations on your 25 lbs! That is quite an accomplishment!
Hello, I'm a newbie as well!! I reside in the Louisville, KY area. I'm recently divorced, mom of 3 and desparately need to shed this access weight. I would love to shed 50, but would settle for 20...
You're welcome, Susie, and thank you for the kudos!
LaLaLovely, welcome to you, too!
I think you're smart to set a lower goal. We often set ourselves up for failure by wanted it all off right now. (like I do. heh heh) Best wishes to you!
