Very Excited!

  • Hi my name is Heather. i usually come on this site and just look. I think I may have posted several months back but not very many. Well I was doing Weight watchers before and did loose weight. Very good program however, I am wanting to do the atkins approach for a few weeks just to get some extra pounds off then hopefully change over. Still undecided. I have recently started back walking and going to the gym. YA BABY! lol..This is a great group of ladies from the posts that I read. Well that's about it.
  • Welcome Heather!!!! I tried the Atkins several years ago, and decided I just didn't feel right stuffing myself with cheesy meat, etc. Of course, I probably wasn't doing it right...but I literally felt like my arteries were clogging with every bite. To each his own!

    I'm gonna try the South Beach because it is, in principle at least, similar in the way that you limit "bad carbs" and go for healthy, lean protein options. I guess it burns fat faster, and I'm all about that!!!

    Good luck on your weightloss journey. This is the best site I have ever found for motivation and support.

    I'm relatively new here too, but the support I've had so far has been tremendous.

    I've chosen the points WW plan as everyone tells me that works and so far it seems very balanced.

    I did Adkins when I took alot off weight previously, I think it works! Of course stopped dieting and gained the weight back (as with ALL diets when you stop). I may begin Adkins again when I get half way to my goal but I'm playing it by ear right now.
