Hi everyone!
Hello, my name is Ashley, and I am a 20 year old college student. I have gained a lot of weight recently, and I really want to lose it. I weighed 250 a few weeks ago, but I am currently 225.
I have never been on a diet before so I consulted my doctor. The doctor just told me eat low carb and low calorie for a few weeks and then switch to eating lean cuisine's. However, I am afraid the lean cuisines will cause me to gain the weight I already lost. I really want to try Atkins or another very strict ketosis diet that I found. But, I am afraid that Atkins might be too costly. I am a college student with a tight budget. So I was wondering if the vitamins and food are expensive? I really want to lose the weight. Anyway, I have the same goal as everyone else to get healthy. :carrot: I hope to make a lot of friends and continue my weight loss. |

We have an excellent low carb / atkins board here and the ladies can help you along your journey. I know atkins can be costly because healthy food does cost more than junk but you are worth every penny. I'm sure they can give you tips to make it less $$. Hi, my name is Appolonia and this is my first post here. I'm a little overwhelmed by the forum, with so many threads and posts I don't know where to go! I am chronically overweight, and I lost 80 pounds about 5 years ago but gained back 60. Now I am losing again but going MUCH more slowly. It's hard but I know this is better; I get scared when I lose a lot too fast. Scared of what? Ha - that's the million dollars question.
I try to eat 1400 calories, lots of variety, lean protein and I eat vegetarian as much as possible. My weaknesses are bread and chocolate - ha, that was the title of a movie. Must have been the movie of my life. So hello to everyone, I'll be back. |
