Default how long before noticing weight loss

I was wondering how long it takes before I start to notice that I lost weight ? It's been approx. 2-3 weeks of exercising and me counting calories and yet I seem as fat as I was before. No one told me I looked like I have lost weight. My clothes fit me the same as before...What's wrong with me ?

It takes consistent healthy eating and exercise to burn fat, lose inches and weight.

Each one of us does these things in a different way, as our bodies and way of being with this as a lifestyle is unique.

Unless there's an underlying medical issue, eating a healthy, balanced diet with adequate calories and exercising appropriately *will* result in loss of pounds, inches and fat.

Just make sure you are doing these things consistently and (unless there's a medical issue that prevents it) you'll be successful.

I've been counting calories and increasing my exercise since mid-May, and I've lost a little over 15 pounds so far. Nobody's made any comments yet, and I have not noticed any difference in my clothes, except for my watchband getting a lot looser.

Unfortunately, there's no such thing as spot-reduction of fat, it comes off from all sorts of places. That said, if you keep at it, you will eventually see a difference and get nice compliments. (Or so I've been told, and so I hope! :P)

Hang in there Kaitlyn. Make sure you are drinking plenty of water and exercising along with your calorie counting. You will see it will come off soon.

Hi, I have always read (in fitness magazines and such) that it takes a 10% loss for people who see you on a regular basis (including yourself!) to begin noticing.

So, if you are 200lbs for example, you'd have to lose 20 for it to become noticeable to people in your everyday life.

I have known that to be true but of course, it is just anecdotal.

Last time I did this, I could tell my clothes were looser at about 10 pounds. At about 15 pounds, I was able to drop a size without being squeezed in the newer size. I personally couldn't tell a difference in appearance until about 25 pounds. Believe it or not, I noticed it first in my face. You would think thighs or stomach or rear end, but nope. Other people could tell earlier, but I guess being used to seeing myself everyday, it took a bigger loss for me to personally see it.
