Default Weight is weighing me down!

I signed up on this site months ago but did not stay with it for long. Being a school teacher, I just did not have time. Anyway, I am just sick of this weight. I am 192.5 and a small frame and only 5'1" tall. I am wearing a 18-20. I cannot tell you how many times I have been asked when my baby is due this past year. It is so humiliating. I am considering surgery but just do not have the money right now. I am not sure what to do. I am discouraged and just plain tired of this "burden" that I am carrying around. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

welcome aboard, just remember you didn't gain it overnight, so you won't lose it overnight, just start by making small changes daily, I've got 100+ to lose, and I just take it one day at a time, this site is very encouraging , and very supportive

hi Suzie -- your thread title says it all: it is SO, well, weighty, just makes you feel bad sometimes. But as others have said above, you CAN get rid of it.

What eating and exercise plan do you have in mind? You will probably find there's a forum for it here on 3FC, or you might feel at home in one of the weight-based forums, or age-based ones. EVERYWHERE you will find folks in the same boat who really do know what it's like, and for me that has made a world of difference. (I mean, I love my husband madly and he is supportive, but he's not overweight and just cannot hear the siren call of the Mars bar....)

Especially if you have been pretty inactive for a while, start with little, do-able things: drinks LOTS of water; take a walk every day. And tell yourself every day that you are worth it and you CAN do this, b/c you are and you can!

Welcome Suzie - don't give up! I'm frustrated with the same thing. Life is getting in the way of my weight loss. (Yeah right)...I'm a busy stay at home mom -- the weight came on with my pregnancies and I can't figure out how to drop it, I feel like I've tried everything and nothing works.
The key is to NOT GIVE UP, I've been a member of 3FC for a couple of years now and have met some great people who still encourage me and the help is awesome....WE will ALL reach our goals -- it's just one day at a time, hang in there and think positive !!!!
Feel free to join our support group in the support group threads - we're "that 70s show" 'cause most of us what to lose at least 70 pounds give or take

Welcome back! I am in the same boat as you are. In the 190's and lots to lose. I found this site this week and it has already become a great source for me. You can do it!!!!
