Default Is There Anyone Here, Around My Age (21), That Wants To Be My Weight Loss Buddy?

I need a weight loss buddy. I think it'll help if I have someone who I can email and share what is going on with me as well as them doing the same. Is anyone interested?

I'm Teran, 21 from Oregon. I weigh 224 right now (was at 242) and for my first goal I'd like to get down to 175. After that then I'll set another goal.

Have you seen our 20-somethings forum? We have a whole group of those in their 20's, all supporting eachother as they lose weight. You may want to check it out!

Well for sure my first goal is to hit 199 I'm trying to work out 3x a week, doing anything from walking to swimming, just as long as it's doing something 3x a week. I'm still trying to figure out food and such what I want to do, but I do know that the biggest thing is to stop binging. I'm a horrible horrible binge eater. I'll be 'good' and then go and eat a bag of cookies or something ridiculous like that. What about you?

Man I CAN'T WAIT to hit 199. 25 more to go! Right now I've been working out 6x a week doing 2.5-4 miles a day, ab workouts and swimming but I'm not losing anything. It's sooo frustrating. See, I've never had a problem with binge eating and I don't really crave sweets or fatty foods. I'm a huge emotional/stress eater. The last few years have been nothing but that so I've really put on the weight. I still haven't figured out the whole food thing either. People say I'm not eating enough (I'm only eating about 600-800 calories/day if that) but whenever I eat something I feel all fat and bloated. Plus I'm scared of gaining any weight back that I've already lost. So that is going to be my biggest challenge, figuring out how to eat enough and of the right foods. Plus learning to eat breakfast because I never do.

Is also is frustrating because my boyfriend eats ALL day long of anything he wants, and then he works out with my but he is shedding weight like crazy. It's not fair.

Hi Teran. Welcome. I see you have a buddy, but if you would like someone else to talk to as well feel free to pm me. Im 20 and weigh 215 (starting 245). I know its scary, but you may want to up the calories. Im eating around 1600 cals a day and steadily losing between 1-2lbs a week. Working out 4-5 times a week. I hear you on the boyfriend thing. Mine eats fast food all say long. And when i cook dinner i have to make so much cause he eats a TON.

Hello to kelsey as well. Our first goals are the same. I want to see onederland so badly!0

Hi Courtney! Your super close to that onederland! Good job! I think Teran that if you do up your calories for the day you'll see more results. I know that if you don't eat enough your body can't do everything you need it to do....but I bet if you keep up that awesome work out schedule your going to be just fine. If anything your body right now is probably making some serious muscle happen! I don't have the bf right now but I'm pretty sure every my best friend is exactly like that, I swear she eats and eats and doesn't do a thing and she doesn't gain an oz....I secretly hope it kicks her in the butt when she's older but that would be mean so I try not to hope to hard!
I think that the three of us could be a great support system though...Lets do it!

Hi Teran (what a beautiful name!) - welcome!

Seriously, up those calories. You don't want your body hanging on to excess fat because it thinks its starving. When I initially found this site, several people warned me about that. Eating too little will stunt your weight loss. It might be a good idea to talk to a doctor or nutritionist who can help you make a plan.
