Hi everyone. New to 3 fat chicks. Been on yoyo diets for as long as I can remember. Now that I am in my 40's, it's time for me to take my health more serious. My mom keeps warning me about high blood pressure running in the family.......sooooo any help would be much appreciated.

Welcome, Kathy, from one newbie in her 40's to another! I'm in the same boat as you - really need to get going with the exercising! I'm taking baby steps with that - it's just something I have NEVER enjoyed in any way, starting from grade school gym classes. But this place has been very warm and welcoming and I hope it will help you too!
I have the old version of The Firm video workouts, and they worked great for me a couple of years ago. Actually seen results the first week.
My work schedule is alot hectic now, so it's just making the time. I'll go ahead and make a commitment to start exercising this Thursday June 19, 2008. And let's see....i'll also make a commitment to exercise 3 days a week to start. If I exceed the 3 days, then I am ahead....hehe You all can scream up a storm if I don't keep my word.
I am determined to be fit and healthy. Saturday June 21, 2008 I will post my weight. Last Saturday I weighed in at 195. I am doing my weigh-ins on Saturday. Anybody with me? I think this will be a big motivator for everyone. So let me know what you think.

If you are serious about it, then I'll make you my own personal problem.
But you have to do the same for me. Tomorrow, I WILL do twenty min on the tread at 3.0 MPH. What's your offer?
BTW, I have 2 teenage DDs. I do know how to scream. Just fair warning!!!

Totally with you! I will do 10 minutes on my stair master and another 10 minutes on my gym set...need to work these flabby arms!!!! lol
I will leave you a message tomorrow Thursday, verifying I completed my target exercise. I will be able to exercise on Saturday's, Sometimes on a Monday, I have Tuesdays open and some Thursdays I have open. So Depending on how things go, I can pick any of those days to make sure I do at least 3 workouts a week. Alrighty then, thanks for inviting me to be an exercise, accountability buddy. Just what I needed.
