Not from Mississippi, but just wanted to say welcome, anyway! I was raised in OK, so I know about the southern food addiction, but you know what? Eating healthier and exercising can be just as addicting. I just started out small, making minor changes as I felt ready, worked on learning to eat normal sized portions, learned to eat chicken and fish instead of fatter meats, learned to drink water more often. Just take it at your own pace, and you'll get there. Finding exercise that you enjoy doing helps a great deal, IMO, for sticking with it...same for food. I was never good at making drastic changes, myself. Best of luck to you!
