So, here I am once again! As you can see from my signature this is NOT the first time I've tried this... And i've tried on here before even! I'm not even close to 205 now, though I wish I could say I was - That'll have to be one of my in-between goals.
Last time I just kind of gave up and fell back into bad habits, which is how this usually has ended for me in the past. I'm 17 as of recently and I'm SICK of feeling crappy about my weight! This past weekend and some other recent events have really pushed me towards this decision to try losing weight again. We had my aunt and two cousins down from Washington for a week and somehow I ended up shopping with my cousin Sierra a LOT. I love her, but it really sucks being an 18 shopping with someone who's a 9. Hardly my idea of fun! I can't shop in the same sections of stores as her, so I never really ended up getting anything.
Another thing that has me going on this again is my mom. She had Gastric Bypass sugery a couple months ago and she's lost a LOT of weight... 79 lbs, last I knew. That's really great and I'm happy for her, but at the same time it's really been bugging me because she's smaller than me at this point... So now SHE can shop in places I can't! It's really frustrating... Needless to say, shopping hasn't been too fun for me lately!
Aside from all that I really just want to change the way I am... I'm sick of being self conscious all the time and feeling like a huge lard. I want to look good and feel good... And I want to get cuter clothes!
I'm about to go weigh myself now that the bathroom with the scale is open... Then I can start a new counter for my new journey... Those two in my signature have to go! I will keep my family's weight loss mantra though... Eat less, move MORE!
Welcome back! I've been going through a "blah" period myself, but I guess it's just part of the journey. I've been wanting to make a difference in my weight since I was about 17...and now I'm 25. I hope you reach your goals faster than I've been working at mine. We have the summer ahead of us, which is the perfect time to get moving! Good luck!
The scale wasn't kind, it told me I managed to eat my way to 239, which is so out of my comfort zone! BUT, I have a plan and such, so I should be okay!
