220 with a problem..
 

Hello everyone!

I'm tempus aka Ohtempus and i'm OVERWEIGHT. So overweight that I went to go see more birth control and the doc talked more about how I 'put on a couple' then 'oh your vagina is fine'. So I decided to go on a diet. I've also decided that diets don't usually work like turning thr Tv on. You can't do it and then stop doing it without there being some repercussions! So here I am asking for some support. Yeah, I got my family, but they have been there forever and they have seen my ups and many many downs. So i'm thinking I wanna met people that share the same DOWNS as me.

You're right. Traditional diet mentalities do not work. We cannot eat well only until we get down to our goal. We have to keep going. This has to be a "forever" change. But! That doesn't mean it has to be all at once... it can be one step at a time.

We all have ups & downs, and I've found this site to be very supportive through both. We've been there... we understand.

You can do this!

OHTEMPUS . . . so glad you found us, Chickie . . . and wow do you ever have the right attitude, girl -- this has got to be something you do for the rest of your life. A diet (nasty 4 letter word) is something temporary; we hve to make a lifestyle change.

BTW, :lol:, although I'm old enough to be your grandmother, I :love: the Spice Girls, too.
