Red face New Here! 25 yrs old looking to lose 25lb.!

Hi All! I am 25, just moved back to my home town after 4 years away, and have realized that somewhere along the line I gained 25 lbs. (I blame University). Anyhow, I have also just bought a new house with my boyfriend who can eat anything he wants and not gain an ounce, so am looking here for support instead! He is wonderfully supportive, just can't necessarily relate! I am wondering if there are any other ladies in their mid-twenties wanting to share this sometimes tough path with me, or of any age really! I am trying to lose the weight through good old counting calories and exercise when I can.

Anyhow, I look forward to meeting you all and supporting each other!

Hi!

I'm 26, married 2 years with wonderful supportive hubby who also can't really relate! He's supportive of what I'm doing with my health, but not so much that he's motivated to give up his beer and his eggs-and-toast every day for breakfast! Oh well, my theory on that is I'm happy when he joins me on healthful eating/exercising, but if he chooses not to on some meals/days I'm not going to nag him. He's a grown-up too and can account for himself.

I am fairly new here too, and I love 3FC!! I come on here every night after work, usually for a couple of hours, and I post, and enter the day's food points on my Xanga tracking blog, etc. It's a great place for support! And a great place to have your butt kicked into gear when you need it.

I am on Weight Watchers Flex plan, and it is working well for me. It's easier for me to count points than calories, which is why I've stuck with WW since August 2007. My current goal is to add some more exercise/activity into my daily routine. Still workin' on that!

HI
i am a 25 year old mother of 2. who is working on losing 75 pounds. my fiance soon to be hubby(we get married may 30th) does not relate to me at all he is a tree climber and is always in shape because he has to be.
With me i look at chocolate and i gain weight. so i have decided that
i plan on joining ww on friday and hope that will kick me in gear..

If you need any support or anything let me know i will be more then willing to lend an ear.

Thanks bethbeth! I found the 20 something thread, and am going to post my May goals right away.

leela and Shannon, it's good to meet some people my age on here. Are you guys setting goals in the May Goals thread?

This forum seems very supportive, I think I will like it here!

Hi there and welcome to the board! I am 27 so not too far from your age. I too have a man that can eat literately ANYTHING and EVERYTHING and not gain an ounce. I look at food and here comes the pounds! So i feel your pain there. He is supportive of my weight loss though so i am glad of that. I hope that you will like it here as much as i have so far! Glad to have you!

Hey i have posted my goals of 90 miles and 7 pounds. We have alot going on this month so i made it realistic for me to do.

Hi Shannon!

I just set my goals as well - 1400 minutes of exercise and 7lbs. I just got back from a short rollerblade and then did some strength training, so today wasn't a total loss! I'm not sure how this website totally works yet, but I added you to my "Buddy List", whatever that might mean Not sure how to chat one on one yet, but if you can figure it out, I'm up for it anytime!

yeah i am learning on here as well. I dont even know how to post my ticker with out copying and pasting.. we can learn together..LOL
Started with 1 mile today and company showed up so i am going to start my second in a few minutes.
