Default I'm also new

hi I'm also new to the forum, my name is Sorina, I'm 24 years old and I've been struggeling with weight all my life. I did my 1st diet when I was 11 and I've been doing so many that by now I'm sicK and tired of them but still I want to be healthy and look and feel good so here I am trying again. I'm mostly a stress eater, food is my confort and best friend sometimes and lately I had a lot of stress in my life, I've moved from Europe to Canada and now I try to build a life here away from my family and friends. Nice to meet you all and good luck to everyone with their weight loss!
P.S. Good luck to you Betsy and I'm happy for you!

Hi SORINA . . . from another Canadian. Where are you from originally? Where are you living now?

It can really be difficult to undertake something like weight loss when you are so far away from everything and everyone that is familiar; but you are already making headway, chickie. You have definitely come to the right place for lots of support and new friendships.

I took the liberty of moving your post into a new thread so that more people would get a chance to stop by and say Hello to you.

hi Sorina -- welcome! I hope you are getting settled in to your new place(s); moving is really stressful. What kind of eating and exercise plan do you have? There's lots of info and good chat here about all different kinds of stuff. Hope you had a good weekend!

Thank you all for your posts and thank you MEOWEE for moving my post, I'm really new to this forum experience.
I'm from Romania originally and now I live in Toronto, and yes, it's hard to lose weight in all the stress but not impossible. Thank you also for your encouragements!
My plan is to eat healthy food and do exercise. My first meal is one hour after I wake up and then I eat every 3-4 hours (either a meal or a snack). I try eating white meat and fish, whole weat products, vegetables, fruits, drink as much water as I can, and when I don't have time to prepare something I drink a weight loss shake (but only in this case). I want to lose 0.5-1 kg/week (I guess in pounds it would be 1-2 lbs) to make sure that what comes off stays off. I also have a gym in the building I live and I try to go at least 3 times/week.
Good luck to you all with your fight against the pounds!

Hi Sorina and welcome to this community

Moving from Europe to Canada is definitely a stress factor but it seems that you are on a good plan. Eating every 3-4 hours is almost perfect because by doing so you hinder your body to think: "I need SOMETHING, right NOW!" because the body gets something every couple of hours.

Good Luck to you.
