Default introducing Alecia

Hello there,
I came accross your website a few months back and I have lurked some. I enjoy reading the mini-goals and I have decided it is time for me to take the leap and set a mini goal myself.

I have been overweight all my life. But after 4 abdominal surgeries in as many years, I have not had the strength, or motivation, or energy, or time to be active. So, I have let myself go.

I am a 33 stay at home mom, but my biggest job is homeschooling my precious boys. A job I wouldn't trade for the world because I love it so much! This also leaves very little time for taking care of myself.

I have a walking DVD that I love, when I do it. So, I need to stay motivated adn keep walking. I know what I need to do, having the will power to acutally do it is the problem.

Any encourage would be greatly appreciated!!

Hi Alecia!

You may want to check out the 30-somethings area. Are you following any sort of food plan? Taking care of yourself might even help you to take care of your boys. It does them no good if their mother isn't as healthy as she can be. It's important to schedule time in just for yourself.

Best of success!

I've found this forum to be so helpful, supportive and encouraging. Coming here has really helped my motivation to change my lifestyle, and I hope that it helps you too.

Hi Alecia,
Wow, 4 surgeries can be pretty discouraging but I think the folks who suggested trying the 30s group and checking into food plans are right on. I wish you lots of success!
