Hello all!

First let me start off by saying i am so happy to be apart of this. i think this is super neat! I have recenlty been in a losing battle with my weight! i used be at 160lbs but slowly ive been getting close to 180! ..but no need to worry i am back on track and started to eat healthy and avoid junk food at all costs!~ hope to get some new friends here and keep up with this! here is my flickr/lachilindrina site that i have where i ocassionally post pictures! ....hope everyone is having a great tuesday!

Hi there Chilindrina!

Are you following any sort of plan? There are areas for people with specific programs, areas for people of a certain age, and those for people who are a certain weight, or looking to lose a certain amount of weight. Have a look around, everyone is welcome to post wherever they're comfortable!

no plan as of yet..but ive been looking into starting a food journal or blog..and i see this website offers this so i might start one up! thanks!

I am also latina--so I know that you can prolly relate. Dont you have trouble finding healthy options for latino food? at My house (and any relative I visit) you can always find chiles rellenos, tamales, chilaquiles, etc. They are so bad for you! and then, when you refuse, your familia looks at you like you've insulted them greatly !! Does this happen to you??

It is a great idea to start with a blog or food diary to work out just how much we really are eating. Then finding a diet plan that works, and you'll find lots of threads here that relate to all sorts of diets and lifestyles.

omg! I know what you mean..los tamales! omg..los taquitos! i hate when i go visit my grandma and aunts..they automatically start looking at my weight and never notice the smile on my face..knowing that im happy and working on it! seems its always been like that! I remember my gma and aunts when i was a kid trying to tie me up with a strech belt to wear as i sleep to create a small waist! omg! serious..i've had this complex for years!..but slowly learning to live a healthy happy life!
