Hi all! I just joined today and am looking forward to being part of this site!! I've been a stay-at-home mom for more than ten years, but just started a new job as a caregiver for seniors in their homes. My kids are finding it a hard adjustment, even though I am home to see them off to school and home when they get off the bus. I guess just knowing I'm not at home while they are at school...? Last year I lost 47 pounds, but gained back 11 during the dreaded holiday season. I have found it incredibly hard to get motivated again. In fact, last week was my first week back to eating healthy. I read Dr. Oz's book You On A Diet and that got me motivated last year, but now I am just trying to stay away from white flour, sugar (except in fruit), and red meat. The first few days are haaaaard, but I am getting back into the hang of it. I tease that my body rejects all forms of exercise, throwing out any number of complaints to see which one sticks, but I try to walk a 5K 2-3 times a week. Getting on the treadmill is torture, but once I'm on I enjoy it.
Anyway, I'm excited to start making friends! Yay for motivation!!

(Oh, and I would kill for a piece of chocolate cake right about now!)
