Smile Happy to find this!

Believe it or not, I found this forum because I raise chickens and was looking for information on chicks. However - I am looking to lose 50 more pounds from my highest weight when not pregnant. I started watching the VH1 show "Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew" and while the subjects are all trying to recover from drug and alcohol abuse, I find alot of striking similarities with their situations except my drug of choice is FOOD. Does anyone else have this feeling?

Hiya &

Lots of people feel as though they have an unnatural addiction to food. Often, emotional eating as well. You may want to check out the Chicks in Control area.

Have you given any thought to how you're going to go about losing weight? Food & exercise? Let us know! We'd love to help out

Best of success!!

That's funny how you found this site! I'm planning to pick up some RIR chicks soon, for eggs this year.

This is a great site for weight loss support! You might like to browse the forums, to find a group that is doing a similar eating plan (check Diet Central), then check out the Exercise forum, if you need ideas for putting more movement into your day.

Good luck on your weight loss journey!

I agree that food issues are very similar to other addictions. The big stumper is that you cannot abstain totally with food the way you can with drugs and alcohol. The tricky part is to find that damn balance.
