Hi all. I'm Lyn from Ireland. I am 26 and I really wanna get this damned weight off and start living. I am trying to lose some lbs before I have WLS, will opt for the band. Had my consultation just over 2 weeks ago. Hopefully have my op in about 4-5 months.

I know exactly what you mean about losing weight and starting living!
I'm starting again today for about the millionth time - but am determined to stay on the straight and narrow this time. I'm 29 and live in Scotland - really want to have made a big difference to my weight by the time I'm the big 3 0 in November (so I'm hopefully not quite such a big 3 0!)

Mary, nice to meet you. I too have a fear about being the same weight or bigger when I'm 30 lol. Something scary about that number, suppose its same with all that end in zero.
Have you seen our Weight Loss Surgery support area? Might be a great place to check in as you prepare for your surgery...we have people in all phases of pre-and-post-op, so you can get tons of support and answers to your questions.
