Hi All!

I am new here and am looking for support and friends.

I am a married 31 year old hommaker and Mother to two beautiful kids. A 12.5 yr old daughter and a one yr old son. I weigh 230 lbs and want to get back to 150. I struggle. Everyday. My weight depresses me and also makes me not want to do the things that I enjoy. I am dead serious about getting my life back this time. Come **** or high water!

All of my friends are size 2's and never have had to struggle. My husband is also very slim. Support is VERY hard for me to come by.

I am looking for people who understand the pain and struggle and who are serious about losing weight.

Hey Gwen, and

If support is what you're missing, you will DEFINITELY find it here...so many people on the same mission that you are.

What sort of plan are you following? We have forums for most healthy ways of eating. You also may want to visit the "30-somethings" forum, where they have daily chats and a pretty consistent support group going.

Wherever you post, just keep posting and keep moving toward your goals. Can't wait to get to know you better!

Oh WOW! I didn't think I'd get a response this fast! Thanks so much! I am so excited!

Any and all tips where to post are greatly appreciated! I am so new to this and really want to take advantage of what there is to offer here.

Hey Gwen,
I can SOOO relate to your post. Thin husband, thin friends, new to chicago, not a ton of support. I find any reason to avoid going to events that when I was thinner, I would be excited about.
