Some what new

  • I was here a long time ago but then fell off the wagon and stopped coming for a while, but I'm back....so a little about me...
Ok…My name is Bridget, I am a 33 year old mom to 4 living in York Pa. I have a gorgeous 14 year old step-daughter, Anna…and three spunky little boys..Josh(11), Jake(7) and Jesse(5). I have been married to DH Shawn for 10 years(Sept.1997). I am an animal lover….have a small zoo of critters(3 dogs, 1 cat, 3 birds, 2 snakes, and two tree frogs), would have more if DH would let me…and my house would expand a little I work part-time at a local pet store and spend the rest of my time as a SAHM.

I reached the 300lbs mark this year, a mark I swore never to reach. When I saw that I just bawled for hours.I have been overweight most of my life and obese for at least half of it. You name a diet, I have tried it. I always find an excuse for slipping off the wagon…and the fads you just can’t stick to. So this time I am not dieting…I am making my lifestyle change…..for good this time. I am eating more fruits and veggies, skipping the fatty fried stuff, switching to whole grains and keeping my calories under control. An most of all I am not going to beat myself(ok...I will at first but then I plan on getting over it and getting back on track) up over the slip ups....
Well at least that is the plan(and we all know what they say about "the best laid plans of mice and fat women")....no but I am serious this time.
    My goal....
be around to see my great-grand children!
    One step at a time.
  • Hi, I'm Shannon I'm from Indiana, PA about 3.5 hours west of you. I'm also not to far from the 300 mark, on my own by just watching what I've been doing I lost 15 pounds, but about 3 days ago I did get on a diet plan and lost 5 more.

I just want to say to that I hope you stick around and we'll help you all we can.
