Threekittys
HI Everyone!
Since I am posting here, you already know that I am a newbie to Three Chicks. I am very happy to be here because I know that I need you to help in the Weight Watcher's that am presently doing and will be doing for the rest of my life.
I have been to Three Chicks several time over the years and have watched it grow from a little diet support group to it being able to support so many different folks doing many different programs.
I am a retired teacher and miss being with the children a lot. However, I am going more comfortable with being able to do as I please with no hurrying around.
We recently moved from Long Island, NY to Statesville, NC and love the town we are in. It is usually warm, even HOT!, at times, but I don't miss the ice of up north.
I have, with God's help, lost almost 60 pounds over the last year with Weight Watchers. However, I know that different programs work for different folks. So just stay on your program of choice and it will work.
I have tried most diet programs, but it wasn't until I was 290 pounds and saw that 300 just dots away. Even that didn't work for a long time. Even looking hugh and sickly for my son's wedding didn't do it. Then, I realize after being on a cane and having a hip replaced that I needed to do something for myself, not for vanity, which is nice, but to be able to take a walk and not be in pain, to sleep better and not feel like a beached whale in bed and on and on. I realized that time was running out for a healthy body.
I feel 100 percent better now. I am no longer walking with a cane. I exercise as regularly as my body allows and actually feel pretty. My dear husband has never waivered in how he feels toward me and that has been a blessing. He is now my best cheerleader. I see the pride in his eyes when I lose something. When I gain, he just cheers me on.
Well, I have gone awhile. I am glad to meet you and hope to see you on the forums.
With Love,
Georgeann
