Welcome to the forum.

I lost 70lbs. in 15 months by eating healthier and walking. Walking alot. I walk 7-10 miles per day, 6 days a week. I've been able to keep the weight off for a year now.

Hey Joy!

As for the "get movin" half...what are you into? What sounds fun? Do you like to try many different things or settle into a routine? I like to have a routine during the week and expand my horizons on the weekends. For me, that means the elliptical during the week and something kooky or fun when I have time, like going to the roller or ice-skating rink, or canoeing, or hiking. Heck, even fishing is a great shoulder workout. Figure out what you're looking for. "Get Moving" does not have to mean "join a gym!"

In terms of the "eat healthy", there are more definitions of healthy than any one of us can memorize. For many here, what works is a combination of some form of counting/tracking (like counting calories or points), combined with eating as "clean" as possible (lean proteins, lots of produce, whole grains, lowfat dairy, etc). What are your goals? Can you take some babysteps to get there?

I'm glad you found us and hope you stick around. Keep posting!
