Default New fella checkin in

Hi there, I just wanted to say Hola, ello ello, heya and all that stuff. I have recently started on a weight loss regimen and have decided I would join a forum or two for support and information.

A little about me, I am in my early 30's and have never been what you could call Frail or small always been one of if not the biggest fellas in the room, but never cared or let weight get in my way, and then it happened. I got a back injury and blew up like a balloon and now I have had enough. I am 6'4'' tall and .......lbs (lets just say tis a lot) and have decided to try out a low calorie diet along with moderate exercise and see where it takes me. I have a lovely wife and 2 kids, and just started a blog to sort of record my progress etc, and thats me in a nutshell.

I did notice that the site is called "3 fat chicks on a diet" and didn't notice many men on the forum but decided to register anyways, hope you fine ladies don't mind

Hey Botzz!

We have several fine gentlemen here, so make yourself at home! You may want to pop over to the "Calorie Counters" forum - lots of people who are also watching the calorie numbers. The "Exercise" forum can help to keep you accountable for physical fitness.

Can't wait to hear more from you soon!

Hey there big fella!

There are a few guys who post here and this forum does not discriminate - 3 fat *chicks* is just a name, you know - there are also wayyyyy more than just 3 of us

Your story mirrors a friend of mine: he is a big guy but he was a big muscular guy until he massively injured his back in a Motocross accident. Now, he is eating much less and doing low impact exercise until he can do more. He is losing weight gradually but successfully nonetheless.

Thanks for the warm welcome from everyone! mandalinn82 I popped over to the calorie counter section and dropped into the intro thread thanks for pointing it out hopefully I make the "fine gentlemen" status on this forum in the past when I would "cut back" or "diet" it was just a thought, as if to say "oh well yeah I should do this" the difference in those times and this is that this time it is a decision. so I will likely hang around here for support and info.

NightengaleShane your friend sounds like me all right except that my injury came from heaving 90 lb bags of cement into a truck and bamn! injury which I unfortunately now know all too much about how it affects working out, especially with weights.

Thanks for reading
