Gosh, I love to eat too. Luckily, I've worked out ways to eat really tasty foods without going over my calorie allotment...that is why calorie counting works so well for me.
There are many people here who use Lean Cuisines or other frozen and packaged meals, supplemented with fresh produce, so that they don't have to cook meals. Jay Ell comes to mind, but others do so as well. It is totally possible, even if you don't know how to or like to cook.
Have you talked to your doctor about whether the medication you're taking could be replaced with something that doesn't cause weight gain? Might be worth discussing - we all have enough working against us, we don't need medications helping the pounds stay on.
