Talking Newbie from Montreal!

Hi, my name is Amanda and I'm from Montreal, Canada *waves*

By newbie don't just mean this forum but to dieting in general. I'm not quite 5'6 and weight around 152 Ibs. My weight doesn't prevent me from feeling like a babe, but I wouldn't mind being thinner

I've increasingly found my weight to be affecting my health. I haven't been active - at all- for the last three years. I can hardly jog for a long period, and I'm embarrassed. I *like* doing group sporty things sometimes, but am too ashamed too.

I always feel sick, too. I actually think I've gotten bronchitis, which really interfered with my plans for running and these hot humid days.

So, my plan is to start integrating physical activity in my lifestyle. Walking, jogging regularly. Then move to gym activities once I feel better, all the while adusting my eating habits to be healthier.

I'd like to lose about 25 pounds over time I'm glad to join this forum, happy to see you all motivating each other!

Default Bienvenu!! Welcome!!

Bienvenu!!

I absolutely have to bid you welcome, as I'm wearing my Discover Canada/Montreal t-shirt right now! I'm not kidding! My husband and I went to Montreal in 1998, and found it just a wonderful city! We especially loved Old Montreal, the churches, museums and buildings there!

You're very smart to be addressing your health issues before they really get out of hand. I only wish I had addressed my weight back when I had "only" been in my 150's or 160's. Now I have to lose 40-50 pounds to get down there! So good for you!!
