Ready to make a change.

  • Hey everyone,
I'm new here, and new to weight loss in general. I'm twenty one years old, and up until this past summer I was able to eat whatever I wanted and never gain a pound. I've always had shapely thighs and muscular calves, it's just a trait many women in my family have. Recently, however, I started gaining weight incredibly quickly. I've gone up a pant size, and I'm just on the border of being unhealthy for my size. I know that I'm not incredibly overweight, but I would like to tone up and get healthier and get my weight under control before it gets really out of hand. Also, since I've gotten heavier, I've been more lethargic... so I want to eat better and exercise more.

Anyway, hello to everyone. I'm just looking for some encouragement and maybe to make some friends along the way.
  • Hi MidnightToker, and

Planning to eat better and exercise, not only for weight loss but to feel better, is a great decision. And there is absolutely no reason you can't follow through with it, if you take the time to plan and are committed to making these changes for life.

Also, applause for you for taking control of this early. I never had an experience, at 21 or any age from 6 on, where I was anywhere near a normal weight - taking care of this now is a really good thing.

Keep posting - can't wait to hear more from you soon!
