Advise On Getting Going!!!!
HELLO,
I'm new to the forum. Have not posted on forums before. I would like to know if anyone has some good suggestions for getting started on a weight loss program. I've tried Weight Watchers, which is a good program but was unable to stay with it. I almost feel like I need a baby step program to help me ditch my old habits. Exercise is not a problem... I have stayed active. So, any suggestions? Thanks! |
Hiya Leslie and welcome to 3FC! Baby steps is a great way to start. Do get your exercise in 30-45 mins a day, do drink lots of water, stay away from processed food and don't forget to eat your fruits & veggies. Good luck and keep posting so we can follow your success

So start your own baby steps program! :D Replace the sugary & even "diet" drinks with cool water. Focus on getting more vegetables & fruits with your meals or as snacks. Cut down to 1 serving instead of 2 or 3 servings. All little things, and no need to do them all at once. Build up! And keep going with that exercise!
:welcome: to 3FC! Best of luck! |
Leslie - :wel3fc: I also recommend starting your own babysteps program. Map it out!
For example: Week one: 10 glasses of water a day Week two: 5 servings of veggies a day Week three: No refined carbs Or however you want to organize it. One new skill a week...once you've practiced that skill, you can move onto adding others the next week. Before you know it, you'll be on your way to a healthier you! Look around here and keep posting. I can't wait to get to know you better. |
Appreciate Your Response
THANKS TO ALL!
Great advise! I forgot how important water is. I'm a diet pop drinker. I do love veggies and fruit. Too bad they have gotton so expensive. Have to bite the bullet to lose weight. This will be a great place for support! I really appreciate the replys. Starting to drink 10 glasses of water tomorrow for my first step! |
