If you don't want to give up certain food groups, and don't want to pay for food programs, then you are pretty much going to have to keep track of your food in some way, either by points or calories or writing down what you eat.
I've never tried Slim 4 Life, but perhaps other people have and could give you some ideas of what to expect. You'll find something that you can commit to for the rest of your life if you make it a priority.
