Red face Making it work this time!

Hi all,
I've been looking around the site for a few days now. I really think that I will be able to find the support that I need here. I have so many questions though. Like how do you keep motivated when dieting from home, and not joining a gym or weight watchers? How do you fight those late night cravings? How do you make a diet successful in you daily life. Between eating in a rush, and going out with friends? I'm looking for a diet that will work, but isn't very structured. Can anyone help?

Hi and

I think the answer to your questions, all of them really, is two part.

1. Make a decision to JUST DO IT. Decide that being a healthier you is more important to you than some of the things you might choose to skip for a while. Commit yourself not to a diet, but to a new way of living. Diets you can go off of, and when you do that and go back to your old eating habits, the weight comes back. LIFESTYLES are decisions you make to change the way you eat, move, and live for good.

2. Plan! Eating in a rush, going out with friends, avoiding late night cravings, and keeping the plan successful in daily life for me all comes down to planning. Plan snacks and meals that are easy to grab. Before you go out, try to find a menu online and plan what you're going to order, as well as strategies for dealing with drinks/breadbaskets/etc. Plan to not eat after a certain time, or if that doesn't work for you, plan a healthy go-to snack you can have (100 cal popcorn bags are my staple for this).

Anyway, welcome! Keep looking around and posting...there is a weath of information here.
