Greetings From Scotland
 

Hi all,

Just thought I'd introduce myself. I'm from Scotland, 25 years old (26 on 23rd September!). I don't know why I didn't think of this before, joining a support forum, I've had a read through a few of the posts already and it's great to see everyone motivate each other so I am looking forward to becoming a regular contributor to the forum!

Here in Scotland I go to the Slimming World group and I started in June and I have lost 1st 10lbs so far (24lbs), long way to go yet though but I will definitely get there! I tried going it alone, eating foods I thought were healthy and finding out after joining the group that they were not. But anyway, I just wanted to say "Hi" and hope to get to know you all a bit better!

Welcome, whereabouts in Scotland are you? My extended family lives there!

Thanks to both :) I live on east coast of Scotland in a county called Tayside. Just moved there recently from a town about 45 mins away but enjoying it :) Whereabouts does your family live cakses?

Congrats on your weight loss so far. The free site, www.fitday.com has helped me tremendously to find out just how much fat/carb/protein are in the foods I am/was eating ... plus how many calories. Quick and easy to use the site.

I know what you mean about being surprised by food facts ... Fit Day (which lots of 3FC people use) opened my eyes big time to the amount of calories even in foods I thought were "good" foods! Sure helps when preparing pasta and other foods that are OK in moderation, but can doom your diet if you don't know the calorie details :devil:
