Trying it once more...
I'll try and tell my short story...
I met my husband in 1998, I weighed about 125 lbs. (I'm a little over 5'3")... of course I thought I was 'fat' then.
I stayed between 125 and 130 for the first 3-ish years. (We were married in 2000) Before I knew it, I had gained that 10 lbs. that is suppossed to be normal after marriage. My problem was I gained it in less than 1 year. And that started a domino effect with gaining. I'm currently about 155. Back in 2004, (when I was pushing 145) I had short success with an exercise program called SI6. I lost 12 lbs. in 5 weeks. I give most of the credit to my diet. I love drive-thrus and grease, but during that 5 weeks of butt-kicking work-outs, I ate healthier than I ever have before! I have been chasing that weight loss ever since. I have started up again with the work-outs, but without changing my diet much, nothing happened and I always quit about 4 weeks into it. I guess I also got bored with the same work-out video, even though I kept ordering different ones, I always went back to the same one.
So about 3 months ago I joined Weight Watchers, I bought all the books and went to 1 meeting... then cancelled. I love the points concept, but I hate having to count everything. The past couple of months, I seemed to have given up on caring about my weight and accepted the fact that I will spend the rest of my life gaining weight and feeling tired and cr%ppy all of the time...
Until the other day, I saw an infomercial for The Firm. It gave me hope again and I am ready to stand up and fight against allowing fat to take control of my life!
I know I will be successful, I just have to follow-thru and quit making excuses. I have all of the tools and I can use my Weight Watchers books to aid me.
Has anyone done The Firm work-outs? Is WW as great as they say?
