Hi everyone,

New, and from the other side of the ocean, this longtime lurker has finally joined! Forgive me for any spellingmistakes, english is not my first language. About me: I'm a dutch girl (well.. woman) that's 26. Inspired by my younger sister that started losing weight i figured that she wasn't the only one that needed to lose some pounds. When i started i pretty much believed that it was about ten pounds that i needed to lose, well 20 pounds lost along the way i still believe that's the case. I love 3FC for all the support, information and humour about the subject of weightloss and hope to join you soon in any other threads.

Welcom, warme en vriendelijk groetjes. Great that you have come to join us on 3fc. Like you I was a lurker before I decided I was brave enough to post.

Your English is excellent unlike my Dutch I have learnt a few phrases but that is about my limit.

You will find the support and help that you might need here on 3fc and people are very helpful and support you during your weight loss journey.

Hi everyone,

thanks for the warm welcome! Purpleorc, how fun to see some dutch on this site! Are you an expat living in the Netherlands or are your -grand- parents dutch or something like that? Any interest in learning more dutch? I could learn people here some sentences (sp?) like "you look skinny today!" in dutch!

I just have an interest in learning a little Dutch. All that I know is self taught so is very limited. It would be nice to learn Dutch from a Master as I can't tell myself I am going wrong

Well maybe we should start up a new thread for that, maybe over in general chatter? For now I'll leave you with a dutch nursery rhyme.

Liesje leerde Lotje lopen, langs de lange lindenlaan, maar toen Lotje leerde lopen liet ze Liesje staan.
