Hi deebra and welcome! You've got some fabulous things to play with. I like variety. You could do something different for activity almost everyday!

I'm going to recommend calorie counting. No special foods required. You just have to measure and count the foods 6you eat all the time.

Word to the wise about cheese and crackers. I ate 600 calories worth yesterday! And if your egg sandwich is anything like the kind I used to love ... it could have almost 500 cals ... for just one!

Throw some of your foods out here for us to work with. What do you have in the kitchen right now? or are you grocery shopping soon?

Don't buy another diet book! In fact I'd be tempted to sell some if you could. There's more than enough info on the internet.

Actually, what you have is not bad for starters.
Coffee, oatmeal and yogurt for breakfast.
Carrots and 1 cup of chicken for another meal.
Broccoli and 1 cup of steak.
Four or five crackers for a snack.

There's nothing wrong with frozen vegetables. I have to buy what I can afford too. Cans of tuna on sale. Meat when it's on sale. Eggs aren't cheap here but I think they're not bad in the States.

Welcome Deebra! I am a bargain shopper and have loads of frozen veggies in my freezer - most bought on sale. They keep for a long time, have just as much nutrients as the fresh, and have great fiber! Try pairing equal servings of a fruit or veggie, protein, and grain at each meal for a good balance.

Maybe you could charge your neighbors for coming over to use your exercise equipment?!
