Hello everyone, I am looking forward to learning and losing on this site.

Just to introduce myself. My name is Susanna, i am 40 years old, i weight about 189, 5ft 4" and currently wear a size 16 (UK) dress. I would like to lose about 40lb or 2-3 full dress sizes. Just over a year ago I had an hysterectomy because of Fibroid.

I have always been told that I carry my weight well and even when I was a size 12, i was weighing over 10 stones. Dress size measurement in book and catalogue confuse me, because if i took them literally I would be in a ( waist 36", hips 42/44, chest 44" 36dd) size 20! I have always classed myself as being an apple shaped because of my waist and stomach, which is my problem areas. Since my op I have tried to stop myself getting any bigger, but now I want to get smaller, especially flattening my stomach.

I would appreciate if you could point me in the right direction to the forums I would get most help from. Also anyone who is/or has been a similar, has been through a hysterectomy and lost weight!

Why not hop on over to UK Chicks, we're a friendly bunch and there's a few of us from the northern quarters (my parents live on the Yorkshire Moors north of York)?
