What's up from Washington State

  • Just stumbled upon this site while trying to find out how many points sticky rice is and thought it was awesome, informative and useful.

My wife and I started doing Weight Watchers a little less than 2 weeks ago and have found it to be encouraging/promising. Hopefully we can support each other and stick with it. So far, so good.

When I graduated highschool I weighed 250lbs and now that I've graduted college I've put on a little weight (110lbs). And with my job as a web developer, I don't see myself getting much exercise at work so I need to watch what I'm eating and start a regular excercise plan.

My first goal is to break the 300's and hit 299 but my ultimate goal is to get to 250lbs.

Oh, I still haven't been able to find out how many points sticky rice is so any help would be great. As far as I can tell, 1/2 cup = 7 points!

  • ahh, someone semi-close to here! lol. Sounds great. =) I have no idea on the sticky rice thing though..

I wish you all well with it! And I hope you enjoy it here as much as I do (even though I myself have only been a member for a day XD) I find that the free diet blogs here are wonderful if you have not found them already. They help keep me motivated and give me a place to talk about what I'm going threw. =P
  • Hey Big Mike!

First off, nutrition facts for sticky/glutinous rice:
Glutinous rice, 1 cup (200g) (cooked)
    Calories: 169
    Protein: 3.5g
    Carbohydrate: 37g
    Total Fat: 0.33g
    Fiber: 1.7g
I don't do weight watchers but I'm pretty sure you can calculate the points from that.
