...so I had to come check it out. I found it while looking for a South Beach granola recipe. My gyne put me on South Beach hoping that the carb/sugar free first two weeks would help my system fight some infections. I think it's working and I lost 13 pounds at the same time. Added to the 15 pounds I lost last year from the gym, and I have lost about 25 altogether. I decided to go the distance and lose about 40 more with the South Beach plan.
I have a very hard time telling people I am on a diet because I refuse to support the whole billion dollar diet business that seems to be built around making women hate themselves. I always said that I didn't care about my weight as long as I exersized and was healthy. Well, I stopped being healthy and all of my feminist principles could not wish away my various health issues.
So, here I am. I have made it through the first two weeks better than I expected. Thank the goddess for Coke Zero that really does taste like the real thing. On Saturday, I had a piece of chocolate cake that tastes like sin itself.
My word it was good! And then today when I was craving a brownie, I had a yogurt parfait instead and then a very small piece of chocolate. Did the trick.
