Smile New Here, Hoping to Really Do It This Time and Looking For Support!

Im new to all this. I have never tried a diet forum before, but figured I could really use the support from people going through the same things that I am. I know from years of experience, that going it alone does NOT work for me in the long run! Its just to easy to find excuses to give it up. I have recently re-started my diet and excercise plan, (well, really more of a healthier way of life, no deprivation, doesn't work at all for me. And working out at home, with ondemand tv or walking in the park with my two puppies at least three times a week) and Im looking for someone that wants to correspond and help each other with encouragement and even a little pushing, because Lord knows, I'm one of those people that need a push every now and then! ('Course an old fashioned at-a-girl couldn't hurt either!) Would love to find someone that needs the same thing...
I am already encouraged by all the things I have just read in the forums, and glad that I found this place!

I'm glad you have decided to join us. We love new people. Eating healthy and exercise is the way to go. Going off and on a diet will never work for anyone. We have to change our lifestyle. I count calories and eat whole foods full of nutrition, limit the processed stuff. Drink my water and exercise. I am going to loose it this time because my head is in the right place. I wish you luck. Find some places you like what you are reading and post often. Good luck.

welcome and it sounds to me like you know what you want so now all you have to do is go for it and don't get discouraged if you fall just remember pick yourself up and wipe offf the dust and keep going.

I would love to communicate with you i also need help on new ways to diet and ex. Therefore we could inform each other on things that are proven to work. One trick i do when i first start a diet is to get up early and ex like 6 or 5 in order that i will be tied at 9 go to sleep and mark that as one day towards my gaol, you see my weak times are at night in front of the TV, so the more days i put in early nights the closer i am to my goal.

Diet is a never ending journey, but it's easier once you've reached several milestones.
