Hi there. I am new to the site, just joined about an hour ago. I live in Orem, Utah.
Well last September I turned 30 and quit smoking. I have always been big, but stopping smoking just helped to add on the pounds.
Before I knew I looked at the scale here at work and saw that I was at 375lbs! That blew my mind. Just 25 away from 400. So I have been desperatley looking for help, advice, encouragement. And I found this site. Glad to know that I am not alone out here...lol
I am a divorced mother and my kids are starting to get active in school. I want to be able to participate with them, not just sit on the bench. So I made up my mind to get down to 200.
I look forward to meeting you and sharing my success.

Hi! I turned 30 last September as well And that's what got me spurred on again to turn my life around Welcome to the community! In the Chicks up for a Challenge forum, there is going to be a Labor Day Challenge thread posted in the next few days, keep an eye out for it, I'd love to have you join us!
Hi CrzyToothFairy - welcome to the community! Congratulations on quitting smoking - that's no easy job. It's so frustrating to know that something that's so good for you, like quitting smoking, can cause harm in other areas. But kudos on putting your health first and getting into shape for yourself and your family. I'm sure you'll find lots of friends and support on these forums. Good luck with your weight loss
I turn 30 in 30 days and am also posting here for the first time. Good luck! It seems like a good time to start making changes I quit smoking six months ago so congratulations on taking that step too! It's so been worth it.
