Talking New-halfway through and stuck

Hi everyone, It's nice to be here. I'm halfway through a fifty pound weight loss goal and stuck right back where I was after kid number two. I think part of my stall/plateau is some fear that I'll be swishing in extra skin after I lose another twenty five pounds. Does any one have any experience with that? As far as dieting goes, I have a "food history" of bingeing and bulimia which I successfully addressed almost fifteen years ago. As a part of that, I can get a little wierd if I get too focused on food monitoring. I really like to exercise at least, I like how I feel afterwards, but I have all the usual excuses....The main problem is that I'm really tired. Any thoughts on fatigue as the great squisher of ambition or skin issues would be really appreciated.
Thanks all!

I've heard it said that getting enough rest each night is essential in losing weight. Make sure you're getting 7-9 hours a night--you'll be less tired which in turn will make you feel more motivated to stick to your diet.

Oh, and Welcome!!

You might want to check out the Featherweights section--that's for those of us with either a small amount to lose or those trying to lose those last few pesky pounds.

Just make sure that you're not cutting out carbs completely.. that can really cause you to feel tired. Be sure that you're eating foods rich in iron, and have a simple blood test done to check your hemoglobin levels to rule out Anemia, if you can. It sounds like exercising really keeps you motivated, so try to focus on the 'health' aspect of weight loss, and not just the number on the scale. Exercising will also help to firm up your skin. Unfortunately, some skin just can't be tightened if you have a quick, dramatic weight loss or have had the skin stretched for an extended period of time... or if you've had surgery (C-Section, Gallbladder removed, etc.. like me).. but exercising certainly makes a difference!

Or Superfoods Rx ... I always think just a little something to change things up ... can make a big difference.

Default Thanks!

Hey Thanks everyone. I'm trying the superfoods diet right now a la Gloriana. If only they stocked super foods at the Hinkle family fun center I'd be doing ok for today. I really need more sleep too. The kids have been crawling in to our bed earlier and earlier and it's hard to sleep with a toddler's knee in your head. As for the bllod test, yeah, I need to do that too. Thank you for the reminders and have a good day!
