Good morning! I'm a sahm my son is 6 and in school but my boyfriend doesn't want me to work anymore (not that I want to either) so I stay home and look after the house. Which is also part of the problem since I really love my computer and have to pry myself away from it.
So after going from 130 to 167lbs (at 5' 2.5" this is a big deal) in 3 years and trying various diets and weight loss supplements I realized that my biggest problem (get ready the light bulb is getting ready to go off!) was commitment. I have a hard time committing to anything if I can't see results after a month or 2.
At this point in my life (29 yrs) I really want to lose this extra fat I'm lugging around. In the next year or so we will be planning for another child and I don't want to wait until after that to start loosing weight as there will just be that much more.
I read a few different posts on this site, saw how encouraging everyone was and decided to join. I also bought the "FitDay PC" software as other people said how it helped them. At this point I'm not making any huge changes to my diet, just making healthier choices and using my Gazelle Edge elliptical trainer. I have a body ball that I use occasionally as well.
Good for you!! Those small, do-able positive changes are what I think leads to lasting weight loss. I've been around this site off and on for a while, but have gained a lot of wait and am re-commiting. Welcome!!
