Hi all. My name is Vanessa and I am 25 years old. I had been active with this site about a year and a half ago and with the support I was able to lose 60 pounds. Now I have gained back about 30 pounds. I now know I need to have the support and accountability of others to acheive and maintain my weight loss goals. I am getting married in less than 6 months and am having issues finding the motivation needed to actually lose the weight. I also have physical limitations due to a health condition which makes exercising very difficult. If anyone is interested in a buddy, let me know!
I exercise regularly, but I have found that weight loss is evn more about watching the amount of calories that I am putting into my body. Even with exercising every day, I wasn't losing weight because I was NOT monitoring what I ate well enough. Since you are limited in the exercise department, I wanted you to know that by controlling the calories that you eat and making it the right amount for you, it is indeed possible to lose weight!
Thanks for the welcome. I am trying very hard to focus on eating better since I am more capable of that (at least theoretically). I think part of the problem is that my fiance isn't the healthiest eater either so it makes it even harder to resist temptation. That's exactly why I came back here...I need someone else to encourage good eating habits.
