Getting Healthy in Texas

  • Hey! My name is Katy, I'm 23 years old and I'm ready to start looking fabulous again. About 3 years ago I lost almost 60 lbs over the course of about a year and was down to 140 lbs. I kept the weight off for a year, started a new job, was totally stressed out and lazy and gained probably all of it back over the course of 2 years. And that pretty much brings me to where I am now. At the start of the New Year I finally realized I couldn't keep doing this to myself. Since then, I've been eating healthy and exercising. I haven't stepped on a scale in who knows how long for the simple reason of seeing how high the number has gotten. But I do know I'm feeling better, which is so good. I'm going to guess I weigh around 210 right now but I could be (way)off. I'm going to get myself on a scale soon enough so I know for sure. My end goal is to get back to 140. I was feeling/looking fantastic and I want that back.

  • good luck and welcome.

  • You'll find that lots of the people who post here on 3FC have been in the same place you are--and we are looking to change that! Be sure to look at the different forums (there are many) and see if any appeal to you.

  • Welcome fellow Texan.....We have all done that...lose it & gain it back, lose it & gain it back. I've lost weight several times, all of them from pills and crash diets. I decided that this time I would have to change my way of life and keep it that way...good luck
  • Thanks for the welcome.

Robin, where in Central Texas are you? I live in San Antonio.
