Newbie here...

Hello, I just joined the site, i am an on and off again member of w/w i joined in december, got off track with it around new yrs, and have been doing a lil bit of it here and there! Am trying faithfully to get back on it! i have been looking for recipes for dinners and such, i think thats the bad part i have been having problems with me being on ww and having ot put everyone else in the house on it with me pretty much. Or i go overboard! i love love food!~ but anyway im 23 i have a little girl who is almost 22 months old I lost 30 lbs while i was pregnant kept it all off for almsot 4-5 months then started taking b/c. Which is where i know i got most of it from. but im not blaming it all on that and i know i can't, but a huge part of it is from that! Anyway i found this place from the oprah magazine decided id go ahead and try and hope i like it and its what i need for the motivation!
If theres anything you want ot know ask, i hate doing these introduction things bc im so clueless at what to say then i just ramble lol!!!;)

Hey Heather! :welcome:

Glad to see you here! You'll find lots of information on the site, and be sure to check out all the other forums.

I don't know what b/c is...

Sounds like you need some consistency! ;) I think there are lots of good meals that are healthy for everyone, you just have to be creative. Chicken is always a good starting point, as are lots of vegetables.

I think most of us here also love food! The surprising thing is that you can still love food and lose weight--you just can't go hawg wild with it.

See ya!
Jay

Welcome! I LOOOOOOVE food and cook amazing meals that are flavorful, rich, and utterly satisfying. They all fit in my calorie plan. It IS do-able! I have dinner parties with my recipes and people love them, and never know its an "on-plan" meal.

I always ramble on introductions too.

Try checking out the weight watchers or the calorie counters forums...lots of ideas there, and recipes too.

Anyway, welcome and I hope to hear from you soon!

Hi Heather, I have a similar story. Been doing WW online, only logging in weekly with the weight- and read about this in O yesterday. Thought, I'll try it. I have forever been dealing with my weight. My Kids are almost all grown and out of the house, youngest is a sr in HS- I only want to log into WW when my weight is down - I was doing so good! Since September lost 12 lbs and was keeping it off- plateaued- but in the past 2 weeks saw it creep back up to the 190's again. Very frustrated. But yesterday was Ash Wednesday (I'm Catholic) so I gave up bread for lent- Hopefully, I will eat brown rice, popcorn and oatmeal instead. Good for you on losing so much after your baby was born. ;)
