My name is Lynsey, I am 24 and I am "new" to the weightloss thing. I've always been big. Not huge but never skinny. I don't know if I even care to be skinny. I just want to be healthier and look and feel better.
My hubby and I have been together since 8th grade so he's seen me go up and down. He's my biggest fan and my worst enemy. He always tells me I'm beautiful and that he loves me the way I am but once I start shedding the pounds he's always there to cheer me on.
I had my first daughter in Dec 02 and gained quite a bit with her. In Dec 03 I had had enough. I started Curves and really watching what I ate and I was down from 216 to 171 by May 04. For some reason I just fell off the wagon in June and rarely went to Curves. I didn't renew my membership that year and things went downhill from there.
In Nov 05 I had my second daughter and haven't been able to lose those last few pounds from her....or before her I guess. I stay between 193 and 200 but haven't been over that 200 mark in many months. I truely liked myself and how I looked in the 170's but since I'm starting smaller I'm sure I can go below that this time. My ultimate goal is to be between 130 and 140.
I wish I knew twenty years ago what I know today about weight loss.
I read YOU on a diet by Dr. Oz and Roizen in January.
I just finished reading Superfoods RX and Superfoods Healthstyle by Dr. Pratt.
Great books about food, health and how our bodies work.
Read the following post by a fellow chick it is very inspirational: http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/showthread.php?t=84601
