Red face I have never joined online help site

Hi, I have decided that maybe it might help make losing weight easier if I have some support from others who are going thru the same thing. So I searched and found this place and I was drawned to the warmth and caring here. I started to seriously try to lose weight about a year ago and have only lost ten pounds. It is really hard to take it off when you have to retrain yourself how to eat and remember to get some exercise in daily. I have made a lot of mistakes and survived a lot of pain and tears but I will not give up. I would love to be around to see my grandchildren grown. Thanks for taking the time to read my intro.

I am new to this todday too. I also dream thin! A few years ago after my mom died I lost a lot of weight (wish it wasn't like that though) but, now in the last several months I have gained it all back. I feel really depressed over it. I also would like to see my grandchildren grow up. My son just got married over a year ago and they are trying to have a baby. I think we can do this.....these are very good incentives. My 3 biggest problems are: chocolate, cheese, cookies. If I can get through a few weeks without them I know I can move forward. What are your culprits?

Hello, when I came to this site I just read, YOU on a diet by Dr. Oz and Roizen, great book, knowing how my body works has really helped.
Then I read this:

great inspirational story, now I eat whole foods and keep track of my calories on fitday.com, its free.
Hopefully some of this will help.
