Smile hello! I'm new!

Hello there!

I need to lose weight, so I decided to join up here. My main problem right now is that I lose resolve halfway through the day. I always start out thinking, "Today I'm going to eat really well!" Then by the evening, I just eat whatever junk food is nearest. Maybe checking in on this website will help...

I'm going to go explore now.

Forgiveness- don't make foods bad or good and keep up with the positive affirmations. A really wonderful woman on this message board has a quote that says, "Eat for the body you want, not the body you have." Stay strong, keep repeating positive things, if you don't believe them now... you will soon. WELCOME!

Hey there,

Sometimes it helps to have a more specific plan in mind--as in, what you are going to eat for meals and snacks. That might help you sidestep the loss of resolve.

Best wishes!

Hi Petunia!

Welcome! Try eating something nutritious every three hours or so. I used to get starved and then would grab whatever was handy (ie. JUNK!). Now I eat something every three hours and am not ever reaching that crazy "I must eat everything I can put my hands on" feeling. Also try making sure that you have protein at every meal. I found that carbs alone made me feel famished very soon after eating.
