Cindy and Heather,

Thanks! I actually did just what you said Heather -- went upstairs after I dropped my daughter off and just got changed. Told myself I'd only do 2 miles (I normally do 3) on the treadmill. Got those done in 30 minutes and of course since I was all warmed up, did that last mile. Just walked it though; just too tired I guess.

Cindy, I have a few Billy Blanks tapes too. I really like them and him (except for the loud girl in one of them. They finally figure out that her mic is on and shut her up!!) I was actually thinking of doing that today instead of the treadmill but my brain is all wrapped up w/that whole cardio/aerobic thing right now. Maybe because I've been losing some lbs. When I hit my plateau I'll probably drop one day of treadmill in favor of Firm or T.B. tapes.

Yes I hate this time of year with the cold too. We've been below zero for several days now; and the wind -- ! Looking forward to spring.

Good afternoon everyone -

EXERCISE SUCKS!!!!! There, I said it. But I am about to head out to do it anyway. I get frustrated about having to make myself do it, but when I see results every week, it keeps me motivated.

Workout, workout, workout - I believe we are all finding that this is key. Eating in moderation is also a huge part, but you can still eat realistically if you continue to exercise everyday.

So, I am leaving to go walk.

Bye

Just got done another 3.5 miles. I did 3 miles in 43:50 minutes. A first for me; that's down 1 full minute from my last increase. Now if I could only be more consistent w/these times and reach them more than once every week and a half. I think I know why I was so tired yesterday. I ate breakfast b/4 I worked out. I usually wait or maybe have a small snack but I ate b-fast at like 7:30am yesterday. Woke up completely starving. Same today but I ate 3 triscuts and about 1/4 cup of protein shake. My stomach was growling 1/2 through my workout though! I think that's because I'm not eating at night. Ate dinner at 5:30pm and then two hard candies around 10pm. Hope everyone is doing well.

Hello everyone!
Its kind of late, but I wanted to check in and say hi before turning in for the night. Its been a long week for me. I still have a lingering cough I can't seem to shake, and its beginning to wear me down. Most of the time its an annoying little cough, but every once in a while I have a bit of a coughing fit that kind of knocks me on my ***. I guess it just means I am not completely well and I need to just relax and get better.

On a much happier note, I have a new nephew! He's an absolute sweetheart(but aren't all babies!). I can't wait until I am completely over this cold so I can hold him.

I hope the rest of you are doing well, it sounds like you are staying on track and moving forward.

Well, its off to bed! Keep in touch everyone and stay motivated!!

Heather

Well, the scale didn't move for me this past week. Anything is better than gaining I suppose. I'm wondering if maybe my body has made an "adjustment" to all the running/walking and if maybe I shouldn't forgo 1 day of treadmill work for something else. I'm going to do an old Gilad Step and Tone tape today instead. Already did the total gym.

LadyH, congrats on the new newphew. Hopefully you'll be holding him really soon. What's his name and how's his mom doing? My youngest was an unplanned c-section and it took me a very, very long time to get over the whole thing. Hmm, maybe that's why she's the youngest!

Hey guys!!
I hope you are still out there!!
Its been a busy week for me, so I haven't been able to get here until now.
I am helping my sister out this week since she can't drive and has a 3 year old to take care of on top of the new baby. Mostly just spending the days with her, driving her and the kids to Dr. appts, that kind of thing. Thankfully my cough is almost completely gone now, so next week I should be able to get back in full swing.

Jo - his name is Sawyer Reed, it was the only name my sis and her husband could agree on. He was a planned c-section, since his big sis was a surprise c-section. My sis is doing well. She is not the kind of person who can sit still long, she also tends to heal very quickly. In fact, a few weeks after she found out she was pregnant, she was carrying my niece down the stairs and slipped 6 1/2 weeks pregnant! Because she was protecting my niece she couldn't break her fall. She ended up with 8 fractures in her leg, some of them were spiral fractures (very bad!) In short her leg was a mess, but not a scratch on my niece! she had quite a bad summer, but by the end of august she was putting weight on her leg. Her Doc was totally surprised how fast she healed given how bad the breaks were.

Anyway, its about time for dinner, so I better see whats in the kitchen.
Have a good evening everyone, and I hope you are all still with us, now that I'm getting better I'm going to need some help getting back on track!!

Heather
