A little bit about myself. I am 30 yrs. old and have 2 beautiful girls who are five and seven. I am married (almost 7 years). It is time for me to take control of my life. My fat life. No more excuses. No more "I'll to it tomorrow's".

I have been reading story after story and looking at before and after pictures. All of you guys and gals are truly amazing. Everytime I think to myself "Now, why haven't I done that?" I can do this.

So, this morning, I made the conscious decision to do it right. I started picking the right foods and maintained that throughout the day. That in itself made me feel better. I joined 3fatchicks this evening I know with all your support, I will do this.

Good for you for getting going NOW! Lots of people wait to the New Year or to Monday or the 1st of the month, but really its best to just get it kicked off right away. Whether you take small steps or big ones, getting started is what's important. Best of luck to you!

Mami's comment is quite funny to me, because I was just getting done reading Bridget Jones, and in it she mentions how New Year's eve and around then you want to eat more and drink more, because its such a festive time, so she believes it should start the 2nd of January. At any rate, I have just joined to and am pulling for you.
