hey there everyone, as youve probably already realized im new to this community. where to start, my name is kate, and im 17. I feel like ive struggled with my weight my entire life, but it started when i was 13. Im currently at my highest weight, my parents are going throught a messy divorce, and ive gained some weight lately which im atributing to stress and just feeling, well, sad. ive lost small amounts of weight before, but i always seem to gain them back. this time is going to be different, im going to keep it off for good. I want to lose some weight before i graduate so i can feel even prettier in my dress, and have a new start for university and not be the girl who could be pretty if she was only thinner (thats one of the lines im frequently fed from family and friends)
i need to lose about 40-50 pounds, i wasnt too sure where to post this, i read about the feathweights, but i was still slightly unsure. im hoping to meet some people who can help and support me on those days when im feeling down, and just to be able to talk comfortably with and not worry about being judged. im trying to be as proactive as possible this time, i even joined curves this afternoon! i look forward to hearing from all of you!
Hi kate!!! Ive struggled with my weight my entire life 2, im 19, and new to all of these message boards. But basically i feel the same way you do. Especially with the university situation. After high school I went straight to a univeristy, across the state. Felt so ugly because of my weight. So I dropped out and moved backed home, now just attending 2 classes at a community school. I want to be at a univeristy and be a college student enjoy every moment of it and just have a bLAST, but I feel like my weight is holding me back. Oh and you sayed your family and friends say you would be prettier if you were thinner. I HEAR THE EXACT SAME THINGS from my mom and I hear that from guys . I swear thats so embarrising to have a guy say that to you.
The worst thing about all of this is I have no overweight friends so know one understands, my mom is also pretty thin. Oh and I just gave here all of my old hollister and cute clothes, so now I see my mom struttin around in my ol clothes. I can not stand it..
I need 2 lose about 50-60lbs. And am more determined than evver to finally drop this weight, I deffinatly need some kind of support system cuz this isnt that easy!!! Well talk to you later
Hi everyone!!! Just wanna see how everyone is doing.. I Did it, It might not seem like alot but I maintained my very first goal to just eat 1200 calories, which is a big step for me, and I DID IT!!! My exersize equipment should be hear tomm. UPS left a message. So excited, I wanna know what everyone else is doing, and how many calories yall are eating??? Goodluck to all!!

ive been sick so ive only been eating about 700 calories a day, but when i get better ill go back to eating 1000-1200 calories and going to curves.
HEY!!! i just joined 3FCyesterday!!! I am 18 years old, and I am in college currently. I TOTALLY hear u about the whole "try 2 diet and lose a little weight then gain it all back" syndrome. It's the story of my life!!! I'm certainly here for the support as well. My problem is sticking to a diet for longer than 2 weeks. Yea, i usually will lose 5-7 lbs in 2 weeks, but of course the first 5 is usually just water weight. I would love to lose 30 lbs. That is my goal. I personally am a beach bum, so for me I want 2 look half decent in a bathing suit this summer, just like how you want to look good in your dress. Good luck!!! I know u can do it!!! Leygh thats awesome!! How many hours of exersize in a day did you have to do? I think thats my problem, I kinda got to eating thing down I think, Im so confused with the exersize though.. and what kinda exersize did you do? Any information would help Thanks!!!
Honestly its been through eatting. I exercise about 3-4 times a week for about 1- 1 1/2 hours each time. I just started using the treadmill(i really hate it) so I'm usually on the ellipitical. You HAVE to do cardio. Thats all that really matters at the moment. Get the weight off first then tone. Since I've gotten 45lbs off so far, I'm now working on tightening the extra skin I have.
